MarineMax Celebrates Launch of 54-Meter Mangusta GranSport Ahead of August Delivery

OLDSMAR, FL (July 27, 2026)— MarineMax brokers Bob Fritsky, Charles Helgeson, and Kyle Pillsbury have arranged the sale of a 2027, 54-meter Mangusta GranSport for a longtime MarineMax client whose relationship with the company spans more than two decades. The yacht's launch ceremony was held at Overmarine's shipyard in Pisa, Italy, in June.

This transaction reflects the collaborative approach of the MarineMax brokerage team, whose decades of combined experience in custom yacht construction and client representation guided the project from concept to completion. Working with a singular focus on the owner's interests, the team partnered closely with Overmarine throughout the three-year build to deliver a seamless ownership experience, with MarineMax's own legal, project management, yacht management (Fraser Yachts), and charter brokerage (Northrop & Johnson) teams supporting every stage along the way.

The launch ceremony in Pisa was attended by the owner, his family, shipyard workers, and the owner's build team. Closing and final handover are scheduled for August, concluding a three-year collaboration between the owner, MarineMax, and Overmarine spanning design, initial specification, construction, outfitting, and delivery.

The owner selected the Mangusta GranSport 54 for its combination of performance and long-range capability. Remaining below the 500 GT threshold, the GranSport 54 is capable of speeds exceeding 29 knots while offering a transatlantic range of more than 4,500 nautical miles, making it one of the most versatile yachts in its class. Her all-aluminum, fast-displacement hull is propelled by quad shaft-driven MTU 16V2000 M96L engines, yet she maintains a draft of less than 8 feet. Designed by Alberto Mancini, the GranSport 54 combines a sleek, contemporary profile with generous interior volume. As the fifth hull in the series, this yacht features a fully customized interior, with Mancini working closely with the owner and his representatives to tailor the design to the owner's vision and lifestyle.

The project further strengthens the longstanding relationship between MarineMax and Overmarine, and underscores the coordination between the owner's team, the shipyard, designers, and project managers at every stage of the build — the kind of full-service experience MarineMax provides on every custom build, regardless of size or scope.
